American Guinea Hogs
During our search for hog breeds that would do well on our small homestead, we stumbled upon the American Guinea Hog, and we haven’t looked back.
This heritage breed has the unique ability to forage and graze, producing delicious meat and generous amounts of lard. They love acorns, hay, and lush grass, and are generally quite docile.
Litters vary in size from 4-8 piglets, and under normal conditions our mamas take good care of their babies.
